Apollo Healthcare Academy and Woxsen University Sign MoU to Launch Allied Healthcare Education in Hyderabad

21 October 2026

Apollo Healthcare Academy (AHA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Woxsen University, Hyderabad, on 21 October 2026, to introduce allied healthcare degree programmes on the university's campus. The partnership brings AHA's hospital-anchored clinical training model to a university that, until now, has built its reputation entirely outside healthcare — in management, technology, design, architecture, law, sciences and the liberal arts.

Woxsen University began in 2014 as Woxsen School of Business, operating under the Pinakin Educational Trust, and was granted full university status in February 2020 under the Telangana State Private Universities Act, 2018 — one of the first private universities established under that Act. It sits on a roughly 200-acre campus near Sadasivpet, about 70 km from Hyderabad, Telangana. Its School of Business carries AACSB membership (since 2017) and EFMD Global accreditation for its MBA programme (since 2023) — recognition held by only a small number of Indian business schools — and the university currently runs seven schools: Business, Technology, Arts & Design, Architecture & Planning, Law, Sciences, and Liberal Arts & Humanities. This MoU marks Woxsen's first entry into allied healthcare education, through AHA's skilling partnership model.

Under the agreement, AHA will support Woxsen University in introducing allied healthcare degree programmes on its campus. The specific programmes being launched are being finalised between the two institutions and will be confirmed ahead of admissions opening; AHA's full range of allied healthcare degrees is listed on its programmes page. The degrees themselves will be awarded by Woxsen University; AHA's role is to design and deliver the clinical training, skills labs and industry-facing curriculum that run alongside the academic coursework.

Clinical Training Through AHA's Hospital Network

Woxsen does not run its own teaching hospital, so clinical postings for students on this programme will be arranged through Apollo Healthcare Academy's wider partner-hospital network — the same network every AHA student trains within, regardless of which partner university they are enrolled at. This is a deliberate design choice rather than a gap: it means Woxsen students get supervised rotations across multiple hospital environments and specialities, instead of being limited to a single campus facility, while still benefiting from Woxsen's own strengths — modern labs, an established academic environment and a large, well-resourced campus.

Preparing a Future-Ready Allied Healthcare Workforce

India's allied healthcare sector is short of trained professionals even as hospital capacity expands nationally. This MoU is part of Apollo Healthcare Academy's continuing effort to widen access to recognised allied-health degrees beyond its existing partner institutions, pairing a university with strong academic infrastructure and no prior healthcare programming with AHA's clinical training expertise and hospital access.

Through this partnership, Apollo Healthcare Academy and Woxsen University are committed to:

This collaboration reflects both institutions' shared intent to build a credible, industry-relevant pipeline of allied healthcare professionals trained to NCAHP standards, from a campus not previously associated with healthcare education.
