The Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy (B.RT) at Apollo Healthcare Academy is a four-year undergraduate programme that aims to graduate future-ready professionals in the respiratory care field. Our programme combines clinical knowledge with the scientific application of technology to diagnose, manage and support patients with both acute and chronic cardiopulmonary diseases

This programme educates students in the core competencies, including pulmonary function testing, airway clearance techniques, ventilator set-up and management, arterial blood gas interpretation as well as emergency respiratory support. As the number of patients suffering with asthma, bronchitis and other lung or respiratory-related conditions directly related to genetic or environmental aspects continues to grow, so does the importance of respiratory technologists in critical care and diagnostic areas.

Upon graduation after four years, students will enter the profession with clinical confidence and diagnostic precision to work in a variety of environments, including intensive and acute care units, trauma centres, emergency units and pulmonary rehabilitation centres.
