Bachelor of Radiation Therapy Technology (B.RTT)

A degree for the technologists who deliver radiation treatment to cancer patients, with clinical training in the radiotherapy departments of a nearby Apollo hospital or one of our partner hospitals.

4-Year Programme 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English Radiotherapy Department Training Clinical Internship Included Partner University Degree
4 Years Programme Duration
3+1 Years of Study + Internship
2 Therapy Types: External Beam & Brachytherapy
5 Career Roles Covered

What is Radiation Therapy Technology?

Radiation therapy uses high-energy beams to destroy cancer cells. A radiation therapy technologist works beside the radiation oncologist and the medical physicist: positioning the patient, setting up the treatment machine and delivering the planned dose accurately, session after session. The course covers human anatomy, radiation physics, cancer biology, treatment planning, machines such as linear accelerators and brachytherapy units, radiation safety and patient care. Note that B.RTT stands for radiation therapy; it is a different degree from respiratory technology.

Choose a partner university tied up with Apollo Healthcare Academy (see our partner universities), train at a nearby Apollo hospital or one of our partner hospitals, and get hands-on experience, career guidance and job and placement support from AHA. Your partner university awards the degree.
