What is Medical Microbiology?

Medical microbiology covers bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites that cause disease in people. In the laboratory you learn to collect and handle specimens safely, grow organisms on culture media, stain and identify them, and test which antibiotics work. The degree also covers immunology, infection control and the quality systems that keep a diagnostic laboratory reliable.

Choose a partner university tied up with Apollo Healthcare Academy (see our partner universities), train at a nearby Apollo hospital or one of our partner hospitals, and get hands-on experience, career guidance and job and placement support from AHA. Your partner university awards the degree.
