What is the Master of Physiotherapy?

The MPT turns a general physiotherapist into a specialist. You choose an area, such as musculoskeletal sciences, neuro sciences, cardio-pulmonary sciences, sports, paediatrics and neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, oncology or community rehabilitation, and study it in depth through coursework, supervised patient care and a dissertation. Under the national framework for allied and healthcare professions, the master's in physiotherapy is offered as specialisation degrees of two years' duration.

Choose a partner university tied up with Apollo Healthcare Academy (see our partner universities), train at a nearby Apollo hospital or one of our partner hospitals, and get hands-on experience, career guidance and job and placement support from AHA. Your partner university awards the degree.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.PT) from a recognised university, with the minimum marks set by the partner university.
Registration with the allied health council applies for postgraduate entry.
Duration is 2 years, four semesters, with clinical postings.

SPECIALISATIONS

Common areas are musculoskeletal, neuro, cardio-pulmonary, sports, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, oncology and community rehabilitation. The partner university lists the ones it offers.
