What is MSc Forensic Science?

The MSc takes the basics of a bachelor's degree and turns them into expert practice. You learn to run instruments such as chromatography and spectroscopy systems, interpret DNA and toxicology results, examine documents and digital devices, and defend your findings as an expert witness. The degree matters for careers because many government forensic laboratories ask for a master's degree for scientific officer posts. For example, a Delhi forensic laboratory notice for Junior Scientific Officer (Documents) lists a master's in Physics, Chemistry or Forensic Science. Always read the current notice for its own rules.
