What is the Pharm D course?

Pharm D stands for Doctor of Pharmacy. It is a professional degree built around the patient rather than the factory. A student learns how medicines work, and also how to choose a dose, spot an interaction, check a prescription and explain a drug to a worried patient. Compared with a B.Pharm, the difference is clinical depth. B.Pharm leans toward making and testing medicines. Pharm D puts you in the ward from year 2, working beside doctors and nurses on real cases, which is why graduates are often hired into hospital and clinical research roles.

Choose a partner university tied up with Apollo Healthcare Academy (see our partner universities), train at a nearby Apollo hospital or one of our partner hospitals, and get hands-on experience, career guidance and job and placement support from AHA. Your partner university awards the degree.
