The Bachelor of Optometry at Apollo AHA is a five-year undergraduate programme that shapes the next generation of vision care professionals. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

To establish a solid understanding of the concepts of optometry, visual science, ocular anatomy and optics.
To provide both technical and clinical skill competency associated with the complete eye examinations, vision assessments and optical dispensing.
To offer experiential training to students about the diagnosis and management of refractive errors, ocular conditions and low vision management.
To cultivate professional ethics, critical thinking and communication skills in patient-centred environments, specifically eye care.
To prepare students to appropriately act in clinical situations using modern tools and ophthalmic technology.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Applicants must have completed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks.
  • Students with a PCM background and Biology as a supplementary subject are also eligible.

PROGRAMME FEE

The tuition fee for the Bachelor of Optometry programme is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Fees are payable semester-wise. The first instalment is due at the time of admission to the programme and subsequent payments are due at the beginning of each semester. Apollo AHA also offers flexible payment options, including semester-wise, annual or one-time full payment.
