B.Sc. Dialysis Technology at Apollo AHA is a four-year undergraduate programme which equips future dialysis professionals with the basic knowledge and skills to deliver life-saving renal care and safe dialysis treatment. The curriculum is designed in both academic and clinical ways to prepare students to conduct and oversee advanced dialysis processes and machines.

In the programme, students learn renal physiology, principles of haemodialysis, handling of dialysis machines, care of vascular access, infection control and other fundamental elements of renal care. The curriculum includes current renal care and engaging in practice that prepares clinical practitioners to be competent, technologically minded and ethical supporters of renal care.

The programme also provides opportunities for simulated learning within high-quality facilities to foster practice in various service environments where graduates will work within the dialysis system, including dialysis centres, hospitals, nephrology departments or areas of care engaging in renal preparation.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

To develop a broad understanding of principles of dialysis and the competencies necessary for students to provide safe and effective haemodialysis care.
To be highly technically competent in both the operation and upkeep of haemodialysis equipment, as well as have knowledge of alternative dialysis methods.
To train students to assess and monitor dialysis patients and discover and report clinical complications promptly.
To provide a solid base of renal care that is going to help students become competent and ethical health care providers.
To develop the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, while practising clinical excellence, professionalism and social responsibility.

COURSE STRUCTURE

This four-year programme is structured to systematically provide theoretical and practical knowledge in renal sciences and dialysis processes. It sequences learning through introductory subjects, key clinical skills and job training necessary for effective dialysis care.

Fees are payable semester-wise. The first instalment is due at the time of admission and subsequent payments are due at the beginning of each semester. We offer flexible payment options, including semester-wise, annual or one-time full payment, with applicable discounts.
All students complete a guided research project in their final year. Additionally, we offer research assistantships with faculty members working on funded projects. Our labs are equipped with assessment tools, biofeedback equipment and software for research. Exceptional student research is supported for presentation at conferences.
