OT technician course fees depend on the course you choose, the institution that runs it, and the lines of cost that sit beside the headline fee. This guide uses only fees printed on each institution’s own page, shows what they cover, and explains how to work out the cost of the whole course. It also sets out the fee for the Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology (B.AOTT) at Apollo Healthcare Academy (AHA).
The short answer: among the seven fee pages we read on 24 October 2026, the fee for an OT degree ran from ₹90,000 tuition to ₹2,20,000 a year, and a two-year diploma showed ₹50,000 a year. The Bengaluru examples are ₹2,20,000 a year at M S Ramaiah and a ₹6,42,000 total fee for four years at Yenepoya. At AHA, the B.AOTT tuition fee is ₹2.5 lakh per annum for four years. Fees change every year, so confirm any figure with the institution before you pay.
What Decides OT Technician Course Fees
Three things move the fee more than anything else.
- The level of the course. A certificate, a diploma and a degree are different purchases with different lengths. A two-year diploma and a four-year degree cannot be compared on the yearly fee alone.
- The institution. A private university, a deemed university and a government college set fees differently, and the same course name can carry very different fees.
- What the fee includes. Some pages show tuition only. Others show registration, admission, examination and clinical posting as separate lines.
If you want the course itself first, our OT technician course guide covers eligibility, duration and syllabus. For how the technician route compares with other routes in anaesthesia, see our anaesthesia course guide.
OT Course Fees for Degree and Diploma Routes: What Institutions Print
We opened the fee page of each institution below on 24 October 2026. The figures are as printed there, and each page is linked so you can check it. Two are in South India (Bengaluru). We have not quoted a fee for colleges in Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Telangana, because we could not find an official fee page for one.
| Institution | Course and length | Fee as published |
|---|---|---|
| M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences | Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, 4 years | ₹2,20,000 a year for 2026-27 |
| Yenepoya (Bengaluru campus) | Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology (B.AOTT), 4 years | ₹6,42,000 total fee for 2026-27 (Karnataka and non-Karnataka students), shown as three instalments of ₹2,18,000, ₹2,12,000 and ₹2,12,000. The page also lists a registration fee of ₹26,000 payable at admission |
| Amity University Mohali | B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology, 4 years | ₹1,20,000 for the first year. The page does not say if later years differ |
| Royal Global University | B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology, “3/4 Yrs as per NEP” | ₹1,00,000 a year in 2026-27, plus one-time registration (₹10,000), admission fee (₹60,000) and refundable caution money (₹10,000) |
| Mangalayatan University | B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology, 3 years | ₹90,000 tuition a year, plus ₹3,500 examination fee each semester |
| Uttaranchal University | Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology, 6 semesters | ₹1,09,670 to ₹1,52,060 a year, depending on 12th marks and quota. Fees on the page refer to 2025-26 registrations |
| Sanskriti University | Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician, 2 years | ₹50,000 annual fee. The page also shows ₹27,000 as a semester fee |
Two things stand out. The fee for a degree runs across a wide band, and five of the seven pages do not say what the fee covers. Treat each row as one data point from one page, not as an average for the course. We did not use a page we could not read clearly: one institute’s diploma page showed a two-year course beside a five-year fee table, so we left it out.
What the Headline Fee May Leave Out
The pages above show how many separate lines a fee can have. Ask for each of these in writing:
- Registration and admission fees. Royal Global lists a one-time registration of ₹10,000 and an admission fee of ₹60,000 beside its ₹1,00,000 yearly fee.
- Examination fees. Mangalayatan lists ₹3,500 for each semester’s examination, on top of tuition.
- Refundable deposits. Royal Global and Mangalayatan list refundable caution money or a security deposit. Ask when it is returned.
- Clinical posting charges. Uttaranchal lists ₹3,000 for clinical posting from the second year.
- Fee that depends on your marks or quota. Uttaranchal’s yearly total changes with 12th marks and the quota you apply under.
- Hostel, uniform and transport. None of the pages we read gave these, so ask for them.
OT Technician Course Fees for Short Courses and Government Colleges
People also search for OT assistant courses and for government college fees. We did not find an official fee page for a certificate course or for a government college, so we do not quote a number for either. For a government seat, look at the admission notice of the college or the state counselling authority for the year you apply. For a short course, ask who awards the certificate before you ask about the fee.
How to Work Out the Cost of the Whole Course
A yearly fee is not the cost of the course. Work it out in four steps:
- Multiply the yearly fee by the number of years. A four-year course at ₹2.5 lakh a year comes to ₹10 lakh in tuition (4 × ₹2.5 lakh), if the fee does not change.
- Add the one-time lines: registration, admission and any deposit.
- Add the recurring lines: examination, clinical posting, hostel and transport.
- Subtract any scholarship, and ask whether it applies to every year or only the first.
Do the same sum for every institution you compare. Ask each one for the total fee for the whole course, in writing.
The B.AOTT at Apollo Healthcare Academy
Here is how our B.AOTT is set up, taken from our Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology programme page.
- Length: four years, with internships in the final two semesters.
- Tuition fee: ₹2.5 lakh per annum.
- Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 50% marks. You must be 17 years old on 31 December of the calendar year of admission.
- Admission: on 10+2 marks, with no entrance test.
- Lateral entry: diploma holders in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology can join the second year (third semester), subject to university norms.
- Hospital training: hands-on training in real hospitals rises from 20% in semester one to 40%, 60% and then 100% from semester four onwards.
- Degree: awarded through our partner university. See the partner universities page, and the partner hospitals page for where students train.
Scholarships are tuition fee waivers based on a composite score: half from the AHA Scholarship Test and half from your Class 12 aggregate. A score of 95 and above earns a 25% waiver, 90 to 94.99 earns 15%, and 85 to 89.99 earns 10%. Awards go in order of score until 10% of the intake is filled, so reaching a slab does not guarantee one. At the stated tuition fee, a 25% waiver is ₹62,500 off a year, a 15% waiver is ₹37,500 and a 10% waiver is ₹25,000. Ask the admissions team whether the waiver continues in later years and what the fee covers. The rules are on our scholarship page, and the steps to apply are on the admissions page.
Questions to Ask Before You Pay Any OT Course Fee
- Who awards the certificate, diploma or degree, and is it a recognised institution?
- What is the total fee for the whole course, and which lines does it include?
- Which fees are one-time, which are yearly and which are refundable?
- Does the fee change each year, and by how much?
- How many hospital hours are included, and where do you train?
- Is the internship part of the fee and the duration, or extra?
- Does any scholarship apply to every year?
Where to Go Next
If the B.AOTT fits, read the programme page for the curriculum, see every course on the programmes page, and speak to the admissions team about fees and your scholarship slab. We provide placement support, but it does not guarantee employment.
FAQs
Paste these into the Yoast FAQ block (10 questions). Answers stay within what the fee pages and our programme page say.
What Are the OT Technician Course Fees in India?
There is no single fee. Among the seven fee pages we read on 24 October 2026, an OT degree ran from ₹90,000 tuition to ₹2,20,000 a year, and a two-year diploma showed ₹50,000 a year. The fee depends on the course, the institution and what the fee includes, so ask for the total for the whole course.
What Is the Fee for the B.AOTT at Apollo Healthcare Academy?
The tuition fee for the B.AOTT is ₹2.5 lakh per annum, and the programme is four years. At that fee, four years of tuition comes to ₹10 lakh before any scholarship, if the fee does not change. Ask the admissions team what the fee covers.
Are There Scholarships for the OT Technician Course at AHA?
Yes. Tuition fee waivers are based on a composite score, half from the AHA Scholarship Test and half from your Class 12 aggregate. A score of 95 and above earns 25%, 90 to 94.99 earns 15%, and 85 to 89.99 earns 10%. Awards go in order of score until 10% of the intake is filled, so meeting a slab does not guarantee a waiver.
What Are OT Course Fees for a Diploma?
One diploma page we read, Sanskriti University’s Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician (2 years), showed an annual fee of ₹50,000 and a semester fee of ₹27,000. Diploma fees differ by institution, so read the fee page of the one you are considering.
What Are OT Technician Course Fees in a Government College?
We did not find an official fee page for a government college, so we do not quote a figure. Check the admission notice of the college or the state counselling authority for the year you apply.
Is the Registration Fee Included in the Course Fee?
Not always. Royal Global University lists a one-time registration of ₹10,000 and an admission fee of ₹60,000 beside its ₹1,00,000 yearly fee. Ask whether registration, admission, examination and clinical posting are inside the headline fee.
What Is the Total Cost of an OT Technician Course?
Multiply the yearly fee by the number of years, add one-time and recurring charges, then subtract any scholarship. Always ask the institution for the total in writing, and ask whether the fee changes each year.
Can I Pay OT Course Fees in Instalments?
That depends on the institution. Royal Global University shows both a yearly and a semester payment, and the semester option adds up to ₹3,000 more over two semesters. For the B.AOTT, ask the admissions team what payment options apply.
Do OT Technician Course Fees Include the Internship?
It depends on the institution, so ask. At AHA the B.AOTT includes internships in the last two semesters, and you should ask the admissions team whether any internship cost is separate.
How Long Is the B.AOTT, and Who Can Apply?
The B.AOTT is four years. You need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 50% marks, and you must be 17 on 31 December of the year of admission. Admission is on 10+2 marks, with no entrance test.
